In The Netherlands we use around 475.000 tons annually of plastic packaging material. Two-third of that ends in the garbage bins of the consumer, one-third in the waste containers of companies. This is 0,42 kg per day per person! Even more than in USA, China or India. In Belgium it’s “only” 0,08 kilogram per person per day. That’s why it’s time to think about your part in the use of plastic in your company and the impact involved.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a>Today it is clear that plastic, from productie to eternal taking degeneration process a gigant effect has on our living environment, water and air quality and of course our health. On the other side it is obvious that plastic is a very effective and hardly indispensable product for companies and industries that are packing goods like food, electronics and pharmaceuticals. A world without plastic is impossible.\u00a0The more important it is to think and act how to use plastic efficient and as sustainable as possible.<\/span><\/figure><\/div>

The Packaging Industry is by far the biggest producer of plastic waste, in 2015 141 million tons worldwide. This number is only growing.<\/p>

We developed the\u00a0<\/span>XT Orange\u00ae pallet wrap system that will reduce the use of plastic up 70% compared to wrapping with conventional film in the 1982 method (roll scratching between your fingers and running bended over and backwards around your pallet).<\/p>

\"\"<\/a>The production of 1 kilogram of stretch film is Responsable for a carbon footprint of at least 2,4 kilograms. If we only in Europe all of the hand wrapped pallets would stabiele with the XT Orange\u00ae system we would reduce the carbon footprint from 6 million tonnes to less than 2 million tonnes.<\/figure>

This is how we contribute to the goals of \u00a0the Paris Agreement to reduce the carbon fotoprint with 49% in 2030. We hope that more companies in this sector will offer similar solutions. Did you ever think what you could do to reach the goals?<\/p>
